The core of TGC are our monthly meetings. We do many different things in our monthly meetings, depending on the needs of the group. We dive deep into the frameworks and principles of transformative justice. We workshop community accountability scenarios and try to figure out together how we can practice transformative justice in our daily lives and when crisis happens. We hold space for one another and are creating a community of support for transmasculine and masculine-of-center BIPOC. We talk about our gender journeys, identities, transitions, and work on creating more ethical and accountable masculinities together. We do any/all of these things in any given meeting!
If you've never been to a meeting before, we encourage you to come and be open. You never have to share anything you don't feel comfortable sharing and you're always free to keep your video/audio off if that feels best for you. Come and listen, come and share, come and be yourself.

Past Initiatives

TGC distributed $4000 in emergency funds to 15 transmasculine and/or masculine-of-center BIPOC, with 10 of these grants going to Black transmasculine and masculine-of-center folks specifically. These emergency funds were used by applicants for necessities such as housing, food costs, and medical care.

TGC hosted a healing justice practice space on our first birthday in July 2021. This free space, open to all LGBTQ+ BIPOC, included multiple healing sessions ranging from Qi Gong to sacred drumming. We gave out free healing bath kits to the first 15 participants who registered. We had over 60 participants attend and celebrate with us!

TGC held a closed accountability group rooted in the principles of transformative justice and abolition, from April 2021 - April 2022 with 12 participants. This group was centered on creating space for transmasculine and masculine-of-center BIPOC to grapple with the harm that we have perpetuated and are complicit in. We rooted in an understanding that people are able to be most accountable for the harm they have caused when they have support and community. This space allowed for participants to receive support from others in taking accountability for the harm they caused in the past and strategize on how they could prevent further harm in the future.
